Full Delivery

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Every Power Apps engagement with BlakFire is end-to-end. You don't manage the technical pieces — we do.

Discovery & Requirements Workshop
We run a structured session to map your current process, identify pain points, and define exactly what the app must do before a single screen is designed.
Data Model & Dataverse Setup
We design the underlying data structure — tables, relationships, and security roles — using Microsoft Dataverse or SharePoint Lists, depending on your licence and complexity.
App Development (Canvas or Model-Driven)
We build in either Canvas Apps (fully custom UI) or Model-Driven Apps (Dataverse-structured), choosing the right approach based on your use case and user needs.
Power Automate Flow Integration
Automated triggers, notifications, approvals, and data actions are built alongside the app — so it doesn't just collect data, it acts on it.
SharePoint Integration
Where applicable, your app connects to existing SharePoint document libraries and lists — keeping everything inside your current M365 environment with no extra hosting cost.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Before go-live, your team tests the app against real scenarios. We fix, refine, and adjust based on feedback — no shortcuts, no "good enough".
Deployment & User Access Setup
We deploy the app to your environment, configure user permissions via Azure AD groups, and ensure the right people have access from day one.
Training & Documentation
We train your users and administrators, and provide written documentation covering how to use, manage, and update the app going forward.

Our Approach

HOW WE BUILD IT

A structured four-phase process that keeps you in the loop, delivers iteratively, and ends with a live app your team actually uses.

1
Phase One
Process Discovery

We map your current workflow end-to-end — inputs, decision points, outputs, and users. We identify what to automate vs. what to keep manual. Output: a functional specification you approve before we write a line of code.

2
Phase Two
Data & Architecture Design

We design the data model, choose the right Power Platform components (Canvas, Model-Driven, Dataverse, SharePoint), and sketch the screen flow. You see the blueprint before we build.

3
Phase Three
Iterative Build & Test

We build in sprints. You review working screens as they're completed — not just a final reveal. Feedback rounds are structured and documented. UAT is done with real users on real data.

4
Phase Four
Deploy, Train & Handover

We deploy to production, configure access via Azure AD, run user training sessions, and hand over full documentation. Post-launch support is included for the first 30 days.

Common Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Straight answers to the questions clients ask before starting a Power Apps project.

Do we need a specific Microsoft 365 licence to use Power Apps?
Most Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Premium plans include Power Apps for internal use. For apps that connect to premium connectors or use Dataverse extensively, you may need a Power Apps Per User or Per App licence. We'll assess your current licensing during discovery and advise you on the most cost-effective approach before you spend a rand.
How long does a typical Power Apps project take?
A focused single-process app (e.g. a leave request tool or inspection form) typically takes 2–4 weeks from discovery to go-live. More complex apps with multiple screens, integrations, and user roles take 6–10 weeks. We scope every project before committing to a timeline, so you get a realistic estimate upfront — not a guess.
Can the app work on mobile phones and tablets?
Yes. Canvas Apps are fully responsive and run on iOS, Android, and desktop through the free Microsoft Power Apps mobile app. We build and test every app across device sizes. For field teams that need offline capability, we configure offline-first data sync so the app works without a connection and uploads data when reconnected.
Who owns the app after it's built?
You do. The app is built inside your Microsoft 365 environment, in your tenant. We don't lock you in — you own the app, the data, and the flows. We hand over maker access so your internal team (or another developer) can edit it in future. We also offer ongoing support and maintenance retainers if you'd rather not manage it yourself.
Can Power Apps connect to our existing systems (ERP, CRM, SQL)?
Power Apps has over 900 connectors — including SQL Server, Dynamics 365, Salesforce, SAP (via gateway), and most REST APIs. We assess your existing systems during discovery and design the integration approach accordingly. If a standard connector doesn't exist, we can use custom connectors via Azure API Management.
